My piece ‘Love yourself’ represents how most people either with depression and anxiety or without suffer from low self esteem, not loving what they are on the inside. People who feel this way have thought or tried self harm, which isn’t okay with your mental health, feeling this low of yourself isn’t how you should feel about your mind, heart, and body. With therapy and color theory, it’ll really help. When I said color theory, I mean how you see colors and shapes and what they mean to you. With what it means to me is how my older brother felt when he was younger with his Anxiety and his now Biopolar disease, he is getting there with love who he is on the inside, which is really helping him not get mad at the little things

“Mystery” is about how one eye can hold so many emotions behind it, like sadness, happiness, excitment, and so many more. My piece isn’t about what emotions, it’s about how mant emotions and, and what they hold. Thinking about this art work in real life, makes me think of everyone’s different emotions, and what they hold behind them. Seeing how my emotions affect my everyday life and what I do.

‘The Dakrness in the light’ represents darkness, space in your mind, and in your heart. It represents depression, anxiety, anything in between. In my eyes, this piece represents my anxiety to show people me, the real me. When I ask my peers or teachers for anything, I decide “Now, do I really need to be asking them this? No I don’t” But in reality yes I do need to. I want this piece to inspire people to look beyond their darkness and into the light.
